Foundation for Women Warriors (FFWW)

One of the oldest women-veteran-serving nonprofits in the country and the only organization delivering critical childcare assistance specifically for this community. Serves honorably or generally discharged women veterans and their children with four core supports: emergency financial stipends for rent, utilities, car repairs, and basic needs; childcare stipends for working or student mothers of children ages 0-5, usable with any licensed provider of the mother's choosing; warehouse distributions of diapers, hygiene supplies, and children's goods; and Warrior Connect information, referrals, and warm handoffs to partner agencies. Also runs Women Veterans Lead leadership development. Eligibility requires being employed or enrolled in school (or working with an approved employment partner) and demonstrating financial need. Financial and childcare assistance currently covers residents of California, Virginia, New York, and New Jersey; the referral and community programs reach more broadly. Has impacted over 7,500 women and children, with 98% of financial-assistance clients remaining housed at 12 months.
