Veterans Community Project (VCP)

Builds villages of tiny homes as transitional housing for veterans experiencing homelessness, founded and led by combat veterans. Serves any veteran who took the oath to defend the Constitution, regardless of discharge status, length of service, or branch — a deliberately open eligibility standard that reaches veterans excluded from VA-funded programs. Homes are 240 square feet for individuals and 360 for families, pet-friendly, fully furnished, and rent-free; residents commit instead to a case management program built on five pillars: physical and mental health, income stability, fiscal responsibility, education and training, and network of support. Caseworkers carry no more than 10 veterans each and meet weekly. Average stay is roughly 335 days, with a reported 85 percent success rate transitioning to permanent housing. Six villages operating as of late 2025 with continued expansion, including a 50-home community approved in Dallas in May 2026.
