TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors)

The premier national organization for anyone who has experienced the death of a military loved one — regardless of the relationship to the deceased or the circumstance of the death. Founded in 1994 by Bonnie Carroll after losing her husband in a military plane crash, TAPS provides peer-based emotional support, grief resources, casualty casework assistance, and survivor seminars 365 days a year. The TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar is the world's largest gathering of military loss survivors. Children and teens are served through Good Grief Camps. Free to all surviving family members, friends, and caregivers.
