Homes For Our Troops (HFOT)

Builds and donates specially adapted custom homes, mortgage-free, to the most severely injured post-9/11 veterans — typically those with multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, or severe traumatic brain injury. Homes include more than 40 major adaptations such as widened doorways for wheelchair access, roll-in showers, pull-down shelving, and automated door and lighting systems, designed around each veteran's specific injuries to restore independence in daily living. Builds in the community the veteran chooses. Support continues after the keys change hands through financial planning assistance and peer connection with other recipient families. Named as a pilot partner in the development of PATRIOTlink.
